Sandhills 4-H Cooking Club
Fall 2018 and Spring 2019

This year, Cooking Club will be offered to 3rd and 4th graders once in the fall and once in the spring. This is to allow as many students to have this opportunity as possible. Each course will consist of 6 weekly cooking classes on Wednesdays after school from 2:30pm-4:00pm and a cooking competition on the 7th week from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Parents are required to pick up their children at 4:00 on these days in front of SES. 

During Cooking Club, your child will learn a variety of cooking skills including cooking safety, proper cutting techniques, cleanliness, using small kitchen appliances, reading a recipe, and learning to cook simple, age-appropriate dishes.   

Below you will find the dates of the fall and spring courses. Please look them over carefully and decide which would work best for your child and schedule. There will be limited spaces available, so please make sure that you are committed to attending each week as to not take the place of someone else. You will only be able to choose one session, not both, so that we can serve as many students as possible.

November 7, 14, 28 March 6, 13, 20, 27

December 5, 12, 19 April 3, 10

Each class will be held on Wednesdays after school from 2:30pm-4:00pm. You are required to provide transportation home for your child. There will also be a fee of $60.00 for each child. This goes towards your child’s 4-H dues, a 4-H T-shirt,  as well as providing the food each week to cook.
